As you have no doubt noticed, there are loads of travel guides to London. However, while most of them do a decent job they do have their downfalls. One of these is that most of them are written by people that have been to the city a few times, know the tourist areas and therefore consider themselves experts. On the other hand there are the guides that are written by life long Londoners that know everything there is to know about the city but in reality have never been a tourist in their own city. So, while they can tell you all the fabulous things there are to see in this city, they tend to over look the little bits of advice that would make a foreigners stay in London easier.

I am an American that moved to London in 1996. Due to this I bring to the table the unique mixture of both knowing London very well but having the experience of being new to the city at one point in time. I have fallen in love with London and I am excited to be able to share my love for the city I now call home with people from all over the world.

I have walked around the history filled streets of London and noted down tips and advice that I feel would make visits to the city easier and more productive. Hopefully, this will be especially true for people on their first visit to the city.
